Terry obtained his Law Degree from the
University of British Columbia in 1968 and was called
to the Bar of British Columbia in 1969. In 1971 he co-founded
the firm of Norton Stewart (Vancouver) and formed the
firm of Stewart & Winch LLP with Charlie Winch in 1997.
Terry practices in the areas of Business Law (Corporate
& Commercial Law); Commercial Real Estate and Wills,
Estate Planning and Probate.
Providing extensive legal services to many domestic
clients with business interests in Canada and the United
States, Terry is known as a "businessman's lawyer",
applying practical advice and excellent negotiating
skills to an extensive knowledge of the law in a given
area.
A number of Terry's clients are based in Europe with
business interests around the world Terry has traveled
extensively to many foreign jurisdictions on client
business (primarily Europe, Central America and the
United States).

the British Columbia Provincial Government, primarily
involved in the areas of tourism events, land assembly

civil litigation respecting United Kingdom, Canadian

Terry is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia
and has been extensively involved in a director's capacity
with numerous artistic companies, not-for-profit organizations
and local Business Associations (including director
of Ballet British Columbia and Music in the Morning).
Terry is also an honorary member and legal advisor to
a local chapter of Rotary International and acts as
legal advisor to a number of other charitable organizations
and foundations.
